Singapore

Singapore is best-known around the world for its tangible strengths, from its world-class infrastructure, business efficiencies, and the overall cleanliness and safety of the city. In Singapore, everything starts and ends with food. The multi-cultural dining scene is a natural draw, while the daily race to find and produce the Next Best Thing in cuisine is fuelled by an adventurous national palate.

Then there are the choice offerings in shopping – Singapore is not called a shopping paradise for nothing. A thorough – and rewarding - trip down Orchard Road, Singapore's shopping belt, can take days. Do also check out the shopping belt's latest additions, ION Orchard and Orchard Central. These new malls not only boast unique shop spaces and spectacular architectural design, but also a strong tenant mix ranging from high-end luxury brands to popular food outlets.

At night, Singapore changes outfits and turns into a multi-dimensional entertainment venue for great clubbing, bar-hopping, and chill-out spots. Concerts and party events abound, especially during film and fashion season, arts and cultural festivals. To add to the buzz of this vibrant city, two integrated resort projects -- at Marina Bay and Sentosa -- will be ready by 2010. The Marina Bay Sands will offer world-class entertainment in the forms of two 2,000-seat theatres, an Art-Science museum, and luxury retail outlets, amongst other highlights. Hot on its heels is Resorts World at Sentosa, which includes a Universal Studios theme park and the world's largest oceanarium, as well as gaming facilities.
